Serenity, cyanotype, 2023, 22in x 15in. Many of the aspects of this piece were made with Adobe Illustrator including this radial design in the top left, top right and the text "serenity." The Other aspects of this piece were made with experimental processes. For example, the two round organic objects on either side are simply glass plates with water and oil mixed together.
Three part piece surrounding the "figure head" sculpture, 2023. (top right, Figure Head Sculpture. Made with wire, masking tape, and paint.) (top left, Figure Head Portrait, Ink on watercolor paper, 22in x 30in.) (bottom, Lux, zine, 8.5in x 11in, 10 pages. To go with the wire head sculpture. Made primarily with Photoshop and previously taken images.)
The zine relates to Scandinavian traditions centered around the summer and winter solstices.
Self Portrait, 2023, Collection of 3 identical prints (9in x 12in) and shirt. Carved with linoleum
Silence Of The Country, 8 page cyanotype zine, 2023, 7.5in x 10in. My final for surface research.
Each Image is meant to represent a silent memory and show some sign of past with depictions of rural America and the ideas of what was and what is.
This was one of my more ambitious projects. The amount of problem solving and experimentation that went into this piece was something I didn't completely expect and managed to give the piece a new level of meaning.  Each page is a hand made cyanotype complete with layered images, text and other details. I started the project by choosing images of mine. Depending on the content of each picture I made a word out of black string and made a colored "under-print" that would be printed on thick paper and be used in the cyanotype process for each page. The printer ink is able to come through after the cyanotype process to give the "under-prints" a glare.
Section 2: Time Studio
Untitled, Video, 2023, 3:12. My final for time studio.
this video piece is largely focused around the idea of what we associate home with and the feelings of peace and calm that we expect from what we call home. All of the footage was taken from what I'm expected to call home: The Washington DC area. A lot of the edits are inspired by surrealism.

Being No One Going Nowhere, Video/Soundscape, 2023, 1:29. (This was actually for a project class but it fit with time studios subject matter.)
The making of this piece started with randomly collected sounds that I arranged into a soundscape. The video, animations and edits came later.
Section 3: Space Research
Box Truck, Sculpture, 2024, About 5ft wide by about 4ft tall. (2 Part Project)
This project originally started out as a scale model of a 17ft U Haul made out of U Haul boxes. In the second part of the project we where instructed to turn the objects we made into something different. I attempted to turn the truck into a sort of "imaginary world." The top of the truck was turned into the Richmond U Haul building and the water tower accompanying it. The interior of the truck was turned into a sort of see through ground of what could be below the Building and water tower on top. The sides was turned into something similar to the side of a building to make it satisfying to see into the interior. (Not pictured but under the model building on the top of the truck there is a light that illuminates the interior of the truck and model building.)
All Flowers In Time Bend Towards The Sun / Umbrella, Sculpture, 2024, About 4ft Wide by about 3.5ft Tall.
Made with a found stick, a wire skeleton and handmade paper pulp leaves colored with cyanotypes. Every other leaf of the umbrella is a cyanotype with two words and a spiral decorated in naturalistic elements. The other cyanotypes are extremely overexposed to contrast with the others and bring out the texture in the handmade paper. The paper was made with torn news paper, wood glue and water, it was later rolled into triangular shapes and dried. The stick supporting the whole structure was a small knocked down tree that I carved and cut to a size of my liking and shaped into the supporting structure of the wire skeleton. It also functions as the handle of the umbrella. The stick was also rubbed in tung oil to bring out the natural colors and pattern of the wood.
